Tests of the modern Citymax 9 mid-class bus from the Pavlovsky Bus Plant (PAZ) will begin in Moscow. This was announced on November 18 in the Telegram channel by the metropolitan Department of Transport.
Testing will last for several months, and based on the results of the tests, the purchase of a car for launching on suburban routes in the Moscow region will be considered, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
The capacity of Citymax 9 reaches 77 people. It is stated that the bus has the largest flat floor area in its class, which is 10 square meters. m. The car has two wide doors, which allow passengers to enter and exit faster. The seats and handrails are attached to the side of the body and do not interfere with movement around the cabin, and the storage area is equipped with places for people with limited mobility.
Earlier that day, the Modern Transport Technologies company announced the start of sales of the Citymax 12 low-floor city bus manufactured by Likinsky Bus Plant (LiAZ). The overall length of the bus is 12 m. In various versions, the bus can accommodate from 95 to 117 people, and the number of seats varies from 20 to 35.
On October 9, the Moscow Department of Transport announced that testing of the new Citymax 12 bus began on suburban route 1383 from Planernaya Metro Station to Khimki. Based on the results of operation in different road and weather conditions, the possibility of purchasing Citymax 12 for operation on adjacent routes in the Moscow region will be considered.
