In October 2025, Russians began to look for tow truck services more often. Compared to September, demand for trucks increased by 7%, and for buses, minibuses and passenger cars — by 6%. Experts from Avito Services and Avito Special Equipment told Izvestia about this.

Due to the end of the motorcycle season, the demand for the evacuation of motorcycles and ATVs for winter preservation increased by 3%. In addition, Russians began to prepare snowmobiles in advance for winter: interest in their evacuation also increased by 3%.

Experts noted that in general, the demand for tow truck services increased by 5% in October. The reasons were that some Russians took care of changing tires untimely with the onset of cold weather, and problems with starting the engine or charging the battery.

Tow trucks with a lifting capacity of up to 2 tons were the most in demand in October: in October, demand for them increased by 13% compared to September. The demand for equipment with a lifting capacity from 2.5 to 3 tons increased by 4%, and tow trucks from 3 tons and more were searched for by 6% more often. Among the loading methods, partial loading has shown the most active growth in interest: she was chosen 9% more actively. Interest in the "rigid coupling" method increased by 8%, while demand for tow truck services and winch transportation increased by 5%.

Analysts also said that the demand for the purchase of new tow trucks in September-October increased by 17.2% compared to June-July, and the supply increased by 19.9%. Their average price decreased by 3.6% and amounted to 6.05 million rubles. In the secondary market, the demand for tow trucks increased by 22.5%, with an average price of 1.8 million rubles.

The day before, it was reported that, as the survey showed, the majority of Russian drivers, making a choice between friction ("Velcro") and studded tires this season, prefer the latter. For a small percentage of respondents, there is no difference between spikes and Velcro.
