- Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told the details of the liberation of Yablokovo in the Zaporozhye region
The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces told the details of the liberation of the village of Yablokovo in the Zaporizhia region. The relevant footage is published on November 18 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
In the Zaporizhia region, assault detachments of the 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Division of the 5th Army of the Vostok group of forces successfully advanced more than 5 km deep into the enemy's defenses, completely liberating the village of Yablokovo. Despite fierce resistance, which included fortified positions, heavy fire, and constant aerial surveillance using heavy copters and FPV drones, Russian troops acted decisively.
"They were clearing the forest belts near the village of Yablokovo, got injured there, continued to clear their supports, three supports were cleared. The Mavik mortars were correcting us, then the babka (Baba Yaga drone) flew in, dropped it on me three times. <...> The enemy ran away so quickly that he left 20-30 FPV drones, NATO grenades, and a NATO machine gun. They speak Russian on the front line," a stormtrooper with the call sign Resolute told about the details of combat work in the forest belts.
The assault groups, advancing in spurts, captured strong points, isolated pockets of resistance and ensured a further offensive. As a result, the defense area with an area of over 6 square kilometers came under control. The Ukrainian units suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment (more than 10 units), and their attempts to withdraw were thwarted.
"We worked according to a well–established scheme: we went in twos and threes, walked quickly. Of course, there were difficulties, someone was shooting back, of course, they offered everyone to surrender. <...> We see what kind of enemy we have - they don't spare their own: they see that those who surrendered are immediately destroyed. Their own, not their own — they don't care, they're like inhumans. We look at this and understand who we are fighting and for what," the commander of the assault group with the call sign Azazel shared details about the sweep.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of the village of Yablokovo on November 15. The Russian assault groups continued to develop success in adjacent sectors of the front and launched pinpoint strikes against the positions of the mechanized brigade, the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the enemy's territorial defense units. The fighting took place in the areas of Ternovaty, Gulyai-Pole and Lull in the Zaporizhia region, as well as in the Pokrovsky area of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy lost more than 265 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, 12 vehicles and artillery weapons.
