During a working meeting with Sergey Chernogaev, Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR), Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the work of the association and its role in protecting labor rights. This was announced on November 17 on the Kremlin's website.

The Head of State noted that the FNPR is the largest trade union association in the country and its activities bring effective results. According to Putin, the FNPR performs an important state task related to protecting the interests of workers and ensuring respect for their rights at work.

Chernogaev, speaking at the meeting, spoke about the legislative initiatives of trade unions and the practice of protecting labor rights in the courts. He also stressed the importance of working with youth in trade union organizations and reported on the support that trade unions provide to the front.

Sergey Chinnov, deputy head of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions (MFP), announced on September 17 that his organization supports the initiative to increase the duration of annual paid leave from 28 to 35 calendar days. This is necessary, according to him, in order for working Russians to be able to fully relax and recuperate while spending time with their family. He added that some employees began to devote about 12-16 hours to their working hours.
