A meeting of the Organizing Committee of the #Myplace International Award was held in Moscow. Chaired by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, and Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the members of the organizing committee summed up the results of the movement's five-year work and the fifth season of the award of the same name, and also discussed new measures to support the finalists.

"Today, 32% of Russians have volunteered at least once in the last year. First of all, it is important for us to develop volunteerism within Russia and to show the younger generation that being a volunteer is a great responsibility and at the same time a pride for the whole country. I am glad that young people are very actively involved in volunteering, as can be seen from applications for participation in the Award. Almost half of them are youth projects and initiatives," said Kiriyenko, co—chairman of the organizing committee of the #My Prize.

Golikova, in turn, recalled the early days of the movement's history, which dates back to the coronavirus pandemic. She stressed that Russia has demonstrated not only its ability to consolidate. But also the traditions of mercy and mutual assistance.

Grigory Gurov, head of Rosmolodezh, also noted the dynamics of the movement's development and stressed that the involvement of young people in volunteerism is one of the key goals of the national Youth and Children project. He also spoke about the #Myplace forum, which will be held in Moscow on the eve of Volunteer Day in Russia and will bring together 20,000 participants.

"The #Myplace movement has continued its dynamic development over the past year, which is reflected in the total number of volunteers in Russia.: the number of volunteers on the Dobro platform. The Russian Federation has grown from 7.67 million in January to 9 million by now. #MV Place is a community of caring people who gather to help in emergency situations, to help regions and people in difficult situations," Gurov emphasized.

Almost 200,000 social initiatives have been submitted for the #Myplace Award, which has become a truly global platform for recognizing social initiatives in five years, and about 750 volunteers have become finalists. The year 2025 was a record year, with 51,837 applications received from 147 countries.

"Despite the difficult geopolitical circumstances, the number of participating countries has increased from 142 to 147 over the past year. A large number of applications from India, Uzbekistan, and Africa indicate that Russia is the capital of volunteerism, and the International Year of the Volunteer, which, by decision of the UN General Assembly, will be held in 2026, will allow us to present our country's best practices to the world," said the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, the head of the Dobro.Russian Federation and member of the organizing committee of the #My Place award Artem Metelev.

According to him, in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory and the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, the "Heroes of Our Time" nomination became the key one, combining projects to preserve historical memory and help WWII veterans with popular initiatives in support of the participants of the Great Patriotic War.

The top 5 nominations included: "Volunteer of the Year", "Heroes of our Time", "Mentor of the Year", "Land of Opportunity" and "Generation of Goodness". Top 5 regions in terms of the number of applications submitted: Moscow, Moscow Region, Rostov Region, Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Bashkortostan. In addition, the meeting of the organizing committee discussed measures to support the finalists and laureates of the award, as well as the upcoming award ceremony, which will be held as part of the International Forum of Civic Engagement #Myplace in the capital.
