Russia supplied fertilizers to the EU for a record €1.346 billion in nine months.
In the period from January to September, Russia supplied €1.346 billion worth of fertilizers to the European Union (EU), which was the highest value in three quarters since 2022. This was reported on November 15 by RIA Novosti, citing data from Eurostat.
According to published data, in 2025, exports of goods increased by 5% compared to the previous year. Poland (37%), Germany (10%), Romania (9%), Spain (7%) and France (6%) were among the largest buyers of Russian fertilizers in the first nine months.
It is noted that a year earlier, Poland accounted for a quarter of Russian supplies to the EU.
Earlier, on September 21, it became known that in July, India increased imports of Russian fertilizers to the maximum since mid-2023. In the middle of the summer of this year, Russian companies exported fertilizers totaling $280.9 million to the Indian market, which is 2.1 times more than in 2024. This value has been the highest for Russian exports since June 2023.
