- Tokayev announced the recognition of the United States, China, Europe and Asia of the role of the Russian Federation in world affairs
The United States, China, European and Asian countries recognize the exceptional role of Russia and personally of Russian President Vladimir Putin in solving global problems. This was stated on November 11 by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his article for Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
The Kazakh leader said that over the past few months he had held meaningful talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump, as well as the leaders of some European countries, Africa and Asia.
"Despite the fact that many of them are at opposite poles of the geopolitical spectrum, they all recognize the exceptional role of Russia and its leader in resolving the key problems of international relations. In other words, it is impossible to overcome the contradictions of the modern world without Moscow's participation," he is quoted as saying on the publication's website.
Tokayev noted that relations between Kazakhstan and Russia have a decisive impact on many fundamental processes in Eurasia, and both countries have managed to build exemplary relations in the current period of time. And also, despite the "sanctions orgy," we were able to defend and protect the stability of cooperation.
"Kazakhstan and Russia have managed to build a high-quality and meaningful strategic partnership and alliance. Such cooperation is based on the conscious desire of our peoples to be together in this turbulent, unpredictable time. <...> The relations between the two countries are characterized by maturity and stability, because they are built on deep trust, respect and equality," Tokayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that his upcoming talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin are of particular importance in terms of their further filling with new content.
"All the achievements in bilateral cooperation are inextricably linked to the energetic and productive work of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin in this area. In Kazakhstan, he enjoys unwavering respect as a statesman on a global scale, his name is on the lips of politicians and ordinary people in almost all countries of the world," Tokayev said.
Tokayev, at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, will pay a state visit to Moscow on November 11-12. The leaders of the two countries plan to discuss topical issues of further development of Russian-Kazakh relations. Among them is a strategic partnership in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called Kazakhstan a privileged partner of Russia. The day before, he noted that the Kremlin was in the final stages of preparations for Tokayev's state visit to Russia.
