The Russian car market was second only to Germany among the EU countries in terms of sales

In October, the Russian car market showed the maximum result in 2025, which allowed it to rise to second place in the European championship. By the end of September, the Russian Federation was in fifth place in a similar rating. This was reported on November 10 by the analytical agency Autostat.

In terms of car market volume (165.7 thousand units), Russia was second only to Germany, which produced 250.1 thousand cars in mid-autumn. The third place in the European ranking was taken by the United Kingdom (with an indicator of 144.9 thousand cars sold), which was the leader in September.

France was on the fourth line, where 139.5 thousand cars were sold. Next are Italy (125.8 thousand units) and Spain (96.8 thousand units), which showed the best dynamics among the leading countries (+15.9% compared to October last year).

Earlier that day, it was reported that in October, registrations of Skoda cars in Russia increased by 168%, and Volkswagen — by 164%. Also on November 10, it became known that in October of this year, Vladivostok customs set a new record for registration of vehicles for personal use. In the middle of autumn, customs officers issued 38.5 thousand vehicles.
