KAMAZ returned to a five-day working week
The production units of KAMAZ PJSC have returned to work in a five-day working week. This was reported by Interfax on November 10.
According to the preliminary forecast, the company plans to operate full-time in December. The work plan for the last month of the year will be adopted at the end of November after assessing the prospects for production utilization.
At the end of July, KAMAZ announced the transition to a one-day working week starting on August 1, including due to the lack of market growth prospects. At the end of August, KAMAZ cancelled the order to switch to a three-day working week, the introduction of which had been under consideration since September. At that time, the company said that the market had begun to stabilize "at low levels."
Earlier, on October 21, the head of AVTOVAZ Maxim Sokolov stated that the Togliatti auto giant plans to operate in a four-day week mode by the end of the year. According to the top manager, thanks to this measure, the company will be able to avoid a large accumulation of Lada cars in warehouses next year.
