The psychologist explained the problems with communication in the modern world
Practicing psychologist Elena Loseva explained why in the modern world it is difficult for people to communicate and create couples.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Friday, November 7, a psychologist linked the growth of social disconnection not only with the influence of the virtual world, but also with the loss of live communication skills, without which the foundation of society collapses.
According to her, the culture of long-term relationships, formed by natural interaction between people, has disappeared. Young people rarely have the experience of building stable relationships, where quarrels and reconciliation are possible: now it's easier to delete a chat than to sort out a conflict.
The expert noted that unlike couples who have lived together for decades, modern culture encourages avoidance of difficulties. As a result, it becomes easier for many to choose loneliness, which leads to the destruction of social ties and the growth of conflicts.
She added that behind the divorces, misunderstandings and inability to negotiate there is a common problem of alienation, compounded by excessive time spent alone and in a virtual environment.
On November 2, psychologist Larisa Karavaytseva told Izvestia about the signs of abusive relationships. Today, many people are talking about fatshaming, gaslighting and abuse. But complex words hide quite everyday situations: jokes about weight, devaluation of emotions, control and threats.
