The report of the European Commission (EC), which presents a report on Ukraine's fulfillment of the conditions for joining the European Union (EU), confirms serious differences in relations between the EU and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported on November 7 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

The media pointed out that the reason for the disagreement was Zelensky's attempt to curtail the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), which is fundamentally contrary to the attitude towards the role of anti-corruption structures in the European Union (EU).

"The EC report showed serious tension in relations with the Ukrainian authorities around the anti-corruption clause. The document speaks of "growing pressure from state institutions" on anti—corruption government agencies and public organizations, in particular through criminal investigations," the article says.

The author assumes that the conflict will only intensify and new clashes are yet to come, as the intensity of the struggle between the head of state and anti-corruption agencies continues unabated.

"In political circles, they consider a new battle between Zelensky's office and anti—corruption structures to be almost inevitable," the publication clarifies.

On November 6, Ukrainian political analyst Ruslan Bortnik said that Zelensky fears betrayal by European allies, as they may make compromises that are unprofitable for Kiev. According to the political scientist, there is a risk of internal instability in Ukraine, which can have serious negative consequences for both the ruling circles.

On October 28, it was reported that amid accusations against NABU and SAP by the head of the Kiev regime in Ukraine, attempts began to weaken his influence. At the same time, the goal of the so-called "anti-Zelensky coalition" was to weaken Zelensky's power by depriving him of control over the majority in the Verkhovna Rada, and then control over the cabinet.

On July 23, the law on limiting the powers of the NABU and SAP entered into force. Before that, mass protests began in Ukraine in connection with its adoption. Shortly after that, on July 31, the Verkhovna Rada voted for a law restoring the independence of NABU and SAP.
