Lixiang and Zeekr car sales plummet in Russia

Sales of cars in Russia of the Chinese brands Lixiang and Zeekr, which gained popularity in the Russian market in 2023-2024, have declined sharply. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel. Models of both brands are supplied to the country according to the alternative import scheme.

So, in October 2025, 1,439 Lixiang cars were registered in Russia, which is 40% less than in October last year. A total of 9,736 copies of Lixiang have been registered in the country since the beginning of the year, which is half (-49.5%) less than in the 10 months of last year.

At the same time, last month Lixiang lost in the Russian market to its main competitor in the plug-in hybrid segment, the Voyah brand (its sales amounted to 1,567 units). In September, Anton Alikhanov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, said that Li Auto (Lixiang) plans to open a dealership in Russia by the end of the year.

As for Zeekr, in October, 291 electric cars of the brand were registered in Russia. This is half as much (-52%) as in October last year. For 10 months of this year, 2,620 Zeekr electric cars were registered in the Russian Federation, a decrease of 61% compared to last year. The most popular model remains the Zeekr 001, which accounted for more than half of sales this year (1,372 units).

The Russian car market has set a new record and is on the verge of transformation.

Earlier that day, it became known that sales of new Chinese cars in Russia in January – October of this year amounted to 569.9 thousand vehicles. This is 27.3% less than in the same period of 2024.

The day before, it was reported that by the end of October this year, 165.7 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 3.2% less than in the same month of 2024. Belarusian Belgee and Russian Tenet were among the top five brands. The Lada Granta family has once again become the leader of the Russian car market.
