Sales of Chinese cars decreased by a quarter in Russia

Sales of new Chinese cars in Russia in January – October of this year amounted to 569.9 thousand vehicles. This is 27.3% less than in the same period of 2024, TASS reported on November 7, citing the analytical agency Autostat.

In the brand ranking, Haval became the leader in sales (135.8 thousand units; -15%), followed by Chery (94.4 thousand units; -29%), Geely (76.6 thousand units; -41%), Changan (57 thousand units; -39%) and Jetour (30.8 thousand units; +4%).

The most popular models were Haval Jolion (53.2 thousand units; -28%), Geely Monjaro (30.9 thousand units; -26%), Haval M6 (27.4 thousand units; -13%), Changan UNI-S/CS55 Plus (26.4 thousand units; -22%) and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (22.5 thousand units; -59%).

The day before, it was reported that by the end of October this year, 165.7 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 3.2% less than in the same month of 2024.
