A meeting of representatives of the Kinelsky district of the Samara region decided to dismiss the head of the district, Yuri Zhidkov, who had previously been "fired" by the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev. This was reported on November 6 on the Internet portal of the Samara Provincial Duma.

"Based on the statement of the head of the Kinelsky municipal district of the Samara Region, Yuri Nikolaevich Zhidkov, on his resignation at his own request, guided by the charter of the Kinelsky municipal district, the meeting of representatives of the Kinelsky municipal district decided to accept the resignation," the press service quoted TASS as saying.

Earlier, on October 14, a video of Fedorishchev's emotional dialogue with the head of the Kinelsky district, Yuri Zhidkov, was posted online. The governor was dissatisfied with the progress of the repair work carried out at social infrastructure facilities, after which he slapped the official on the shoulder and, using profanity, said that he was fired. He later apologized for firing Zhidkov with obscene language.

It was noted that another reason for Zhidkov's dismissal was an improperly maintained stone erected in memory of the participants of the Great Patriotic War.

Later, on October 15, Zhidkov was hospitalized with a hypertensive crisis. He said that after his recovery he would write a letter of resignation. Zhidkov also confirmed that he is currently in the hospital.
