Analysts named the cheapest used cars in Russia

In October 2025, BMW and Toyota became somewhat more affordable in the Russian secondary car market compared to September. Compared to the beginning of the year, prices have decreased for some popular models, in some cases they have decreased by more than 10%. Avito Auto experts told Izvestia about this on November 5.

So, in the middle of autumn, the average price of a car on the secondary market was 790 thousand rubles (1% less than in September). At the same time, BMW (-3.5%) and Toyota (-2.4%) cars fell the most during this period. Experts identified specific models — BMW X5 (-5.2%; up to 2.75 million rubles), BMW 3 series (-3.2%; up to 1.5 million rubles) and BMW 5 series (-2.2%; up to 1.81 million rubles).

Since the beginning of the year, prices for used cars have decreased by 3.7%. Renault (-8.5%), Ford (-8.1%), Toyota (-7.7%), Hyundai (-7%) and Chevrolet (-6.6%) cars have become more affordable. The cost of Kia and Nissan cars (-5.6% each), Mitsubishi (-3.9%), Mazda (-3.4%) and Lada (-2.8%) also changed. Among the models, the largest decrease was recorded for Renault Logan (-10.3%; up to 399 thousand rubles), Lada Kalina (-10%; 270 thousand rubles) and Toyota Camry (-8.9%; up to 1.85 million rubles).

Compared to October last year, the average cost of a car in the secondary market also decreased by 3.7%. During this period, Renault (-12.2%), Hyundai (-11.3%), Kia (-9.3%), Toyota (-9.1%), as well as Ford and Chevrolet (-7.5% each) cars became more affordable. Among the models, Toyota Camry (-11.9%; 1.85 million rubles), Toyota RAV4 (-11.4%; 1.85 million rubles) and Renault Logan (-11.1%; 399 thousand rubles) have the highest dynamics.

Experts clarified that the dynamics of the average price depends not only on changes in the cost of a particular car model, but also on changes in the market structure. The more available versions of a particular model or budget cars of a particular brand are on sale, the lower their average price.

Temporary balance: the used car market has stabilized

Since the beginning of the year, more than 4.4 million used cars have been sold in Russia.

Prior to that, on October 29, it was reported that most often in the third quarter of this year, in the segment of used cars, Russians wanted to purchase Lada Granta on credit, and on average the requested amount for used cars was 1.18 million rubles.
