- An exhibition of captured military equipment from NATO countries has opened in Yakutsk.
Weapons from all over the world were presented at the exhibition of captured military equipment of NATO countries, which opened on November 4 in Yakutsk. Among the exhibits are four armored personnel carriers and one infantry fighting vehicle taken at the fronts.
Now residents of Yakutsk will be able to view the American M113 armored personnel carrier, captured in the Yuzhnodonets direction by soldiers of the 39th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade. Armored personnel carriers of French, Finnish and Ukrainian production are also present at the exhibition.
Of particular interest is the American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, which was captured in the same direction by soldiers of the 14th Separate Guards Special Forces Brigade of the Eastern Group of Forces.
"The technique is basically good, but our guys are even better because they stood up...> People need to know what's going on," said Viktor Badaev, an exhibition visitor.
The exhibition was opened as part of the republican anti-fascist forum "The People and the Army are united!" with the support of the Eastern Military District and the government of Yakutia. It has become a symbol of the unity of the people and the army.
"We are proud of our fighters who are selflessly defending our country on the front line," said Alexander Kolesov, a participant in the military action, Hero of Russia.
Despite the almost twenty-degree frost, hundreds of citizens and guests of the capital of the republic came to see the trophies. A Russian T-72 tank was installed next to the NATO equipment and named Alyosha, laying flowers to it.
On July 3, a traveling exhibition of artworks "Homeland in the heart of a Hero" dedicated to the participants of the special military operation (SVO) from the Kursk region opened in Kursk. The exhibition featured 38 works by graduates of Russia's leading creative universities, including paintings and sculptural busts in various techniques depicting military personnel who participated in the war.
