Russian cinema, in the context of increasing distortion of reality in foreign content, must preserve and strengthen the position of truth and historical events. This was announced on November 3 by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, attending a screening of the film "Blood Type" as part of the festival "Peoples of Russia and the CIS".

He noted that many foreign works appear in the global space, which distort not only the past, but also the events of modern times.

"I would very much like us <...> to push all this further and further and gain greater and greater positions — positions of truth, positions of truth, positions of real history, real exploits and real people," the head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation noted.

The film "Blood Type" was created as part of the project "Without a statute of Limitations", the picture is dedicated to the heroism of orphaned children during the Great Patriotic War (WWII) during the Nazi occupation of the Leningrad region. It tells about one of the children's donor concentration camps located in Vyritsa, Gatchina district. More than 350 child actors took part in the filming.
