European countries are becoming increasingly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told reporters on October 29.

This is how the diplomat commented on the data of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation on the appearance of data on Paris' intention to deploy a military contingent in Ukraine.

"All this incoming reliable information indicates that the West and Europe, primarily through the efforts of individual countries, are becoming more and more involved in the Ukrainian conflict," TASS quoted Grushko as saying.

At the same time, he clarified that Moscow, in the light of the published data, has not yet had contacts with Paris to receive comments on the situation.

The day before, the press bureau of the SVR of the Russian Federation reported that the General Staff of the French Armed Forces is preparing to deploy a military contingent of up to 2,000 troops in Ukraine to help the Kiev regime. It was clarified that the order for the training of military personnel was given by French President Emmanuel Macron. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called this information disturbing.

On October 21, Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, noted that the "Macrons" and "Merts" are able to offer Europeans only Russophobia and accelerated preparations for a conflict with Russia. According to him, European states after the Second World War got used to life under the "American occupation" and currently cannot adapt to modern realities.
