The illegal seizure of frozen Russian assets by the European Union (EU) may be a prelude to the outbreak of war. This was announced on October 28 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

"The seizure and use of Russian foreign exchange reserves in Europe. This [will cause] a conflict between Russia and Europe, it may even become a prelude to war," he wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

According to Orban, the escalation of the conflict can be prevented only through Russian-European negotiations. "Газета.Ru ".

On October 25, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin called the EU's initiative to use frozen Russian assets theft and outright robbery. According to him, the consequences of such decisions will be felt by both those who make them now and future generations.

Also, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, pointed to the painful response of the Russian Federation in the case of asset confiscation by Europe. She stated that any actions with Russian assets without Russia's consent are null and void from the point of view of international and contractual law.

Armando Mema, a former candidate for the European Parliament and member of the Finnish national conservative Freedom Alliance party, said on September 26 that Europe's main goal is to start hostilities with Russia. At the same time, according to the politician, currently the countries are completely unprepared for a conflict with the Russian side.
