Altai customs detained more than 700 kg of Ukrainian chocolate
Altai customs officers stopped an attempt to import into Russia a batch of Ukrainian chocolate, which is under the influence of sanctions restrictions, with a total weight of 714 kg. This was announced on October 27 by the press service of the Federal Customs Service (FCS).
"372 cardboard boxes with chocolate bars produced by the confectionery factory of Ukraine were found in the back [of the truck]. Such products are under sanctions, and it is prohibited to import them into the country," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.
According to the press service, the cargo was found in a car traveling from Kazakhstan. The vehicle with the delayed products has been returned to the sender. The issue of initiating an administrative offense case under Article 16.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions on the import of goods) is currently being resolved.
Earlier it was reported that employees of the Ussuriysk customs seized about 18 tons of chum from a resident of Sakhalin. He tried to illegally ship the fish to one of the Asian countries. Earlier, the violator had already transported 20 tons of fish across the border. The total value of the contraband goods is 20 million rubles.
