The US Congress supports the continuation of dialogue with Russia
On October 26, Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the House of Representatives of the Congress from Republicans, met in Washington with Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of Russia for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries. Following the talks, Luna expressed her desire to continue the dialogue with Russia.
"This meeting was incredible. <...> I hope and pray for peace between our peoples so that we can all come to an agreement and move forward, creating a legacy for future generations," Luna said on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Luna added that it is important for the entire American people to fully support US President Donald Trump "in his efforts to achieve peace."
Earlier, on October 25, Luna said that the United States should focus on peace talks and trade opportunities with Russia, rather than on provoking war. According to her, the United States should strive for peace, and not support an aggressive foreign policy.
