The calls of the head of the White House, Donald Trump, to end the conflict in Ukraine at the current stage indicate his desire to join the European guarantees for Kiev. This was announced by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on October 22.

"President Trump said regarding the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine, which the Europeans are working to achieve, that he wants to join," he said on Fox News.

Rutte also stressed that Trump is doing "everything possible" to stop this conflict. In addition, he added that a meeting between the American leader and Russian President Vladimir Putin is necessary to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.

On the same day, Rutte announced that there was no plan on the table to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. He added that he supports the efforts of the American leader in resolving this issue.

Prior to that, during a meeting with reporters, Trump expressed the hope that the Ukrainian conflict would be resolved quickly, and the American side would be able to lift restrictions against Russian oil companies. He also noted that he was not sure about the ability of anti-Russian sanctions to shake Russia's resolve on Ukraine.
