The search for a 73-year-old fisherman who disappeared on the Talga Bayou has ended in the Khabarovsk region. This was announced on October 20 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region in the Telegram channel.

According to the agency, the day before, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and police officers again examined the water area and coastline by boat. Later, information was received from local fishermen about the discovery of the man's body.

"Specialists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and law enforcement agencies removed him from the water and brought him to shore, where they handed him over to the investigative authorities," the statement said.

In total, during the search operation, specialists examined about 30 km of coastline and 4.2 thousand square meters of bottom.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded residents of the region about safety measures when going fishing and relaxing near reservoirs.

"Before traveling, it is necessary to study the weather forecast and the terrain, inform relatives of the route and time of return, check the boat's condition and be sure to wear a life jacket," the department noted.

Earlier, on October 18, it was reported that rescuers were looking for a man who went fishing on October 15 and did not return home. The search team surveyed about 16 km of the area — from a boat and on foot along the shore. Later, divers with equipment were involved in the operation to examine the bottom of the channel.
