An inexperienced person usually makes a lot of mistakes when providing first aid to a victim, but the most important of them is the unwillingness to learn first aid. This was announced on October 16 by Vitaly Kuznetsov, a first aid instructor and one of the creators of the First Aid project.

The expert noted that most often people neglect the rules of their own safety, trying to help the victim, or simply do nothing for fear of harming, which cannot be done in an emergency situation.

"And, of course, the notorious spoon, which is often tried to be inserted into the mouth during a convulsive attack. But the most important mistake, in my opinion, is the unwillingness to learn first aid. The expert noted that in difficult situations, it is always necessary to call an ambulance. However, while waiting for the doctors to arrive, you can perform simple actions yourself that can be crucial in saving a person.

"In case of cardiac arrest, severe bleeding and other critical situations, the victim's life is in the hands of someone who happened to be nearby. Perhaps you will become this person," concluded Kuznetsov.
