The liquidation of the former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Andriy Parubiy, may be related to his participation in the arson of the House of Trade Unions in Odessa in May 2014. This was announced on October 16 by a resident of the city, who wished to remain anonymous.

"The main culprit of this tragedy is Parubiy, he is no longer there, they (the organizers of the arson — Ed.) themselves are starting to clean up their tails," RIA Novosti quoted the woman as saying.

In addition, she expressed the opinion that many of the organizers of the arson may be eliminated even before the investigation begins.

"I think that when the time comes and it will be possible to investigate all this according to the law, many of the perpetrators will no longer be alive," the woman said.

Parubiy was killed in Lviv on August 30. According to police, in the afternoon, the department received a report of a shooting in the Sykhiv district of Lviv. As a result of his injuries, the former head of the NSDC died on the spot.

On the same day, the ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rodion Miroshnik, suggested that the murder of Parubiy could be connected with the cleansing of the political field by the new Bandera from the old Bandera.

The tragedy at the House of Trade Unions in Odessa occurred on May 2, 2014, amid a change of power in Ukraine. At that time, anti-Maidan activists set up a tent camp in Kulikovo Field in protest. This camp was destroyed during a scuffle between activists and supporters of Euromaidan, the House of Trade Unions, where the anti-Maidan protesters took refuge, was set on fire by members of the Right Sector. The nationalists shot at people who tried to escape from the building, the police did not protect the activists.

Denis Shatunov, a resident of Odessa, who witnessed these tragic events on May 2, 2014, said that the nationalists chose the date on purpose, because on May 2 most of the townspeople left for their dachas. The man believes that the nationalists had already planned their actions and were going to burn people, because when someone was hiding in the Athens shopping center, they were threatened that if they did not come out, they would set a fire in the building.
