Details of the scandalous dismissal of the head of the Kinelsky district
The governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, dismissed the head of the Kinelsky district, Yuri Zhidkov, after a conflict during a working trip. One of the reasons for this decision was the unsatisfactory condition of the memorial sign in honor of the participants of the Great Patriotic War, which the official called "just a stone." Details can be found in the Izvestia article.
Who is Yuri Zhidkov?
Zhidkov's professional career began in the agricultural enterprise SEC Collective Farm named after him. Kalyagin, where he consistently held the positions of engineer for the operation of agricultural machinery and workshop manager.
Later, Yuri Zhidkov continued his career in the local government system, holding key positions: from 2006 to 2009 he headed the rural settlement of Novy Sarbai, from 2009 to 2015 he was the director of the institution "Management and Maintenance of Municipal Economy" of the Kinelsky district. In parallel, from 2010 to 2015, he served as a deputy of the representative body of the municipality.
Since July 2015, he served as the first deputy head of the Kinelsky district, and in October 2020, he was appointed head of the municipal district.
Why was the head of the Kinelsky district, Yuri Zhidkov, fired?
On October 15, the governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, dismissed the head of the Kinelsky district, Yuri Zhidkov. The decision was made following a working trip to the municipality. Fedorishchev noted the lack of attention of the municipal authorities to a number of facilities, such as a school and a local cultural center.
The governor's special attention was attracted by a memorial stone standing under a tree. At the same time, the memorial plaque on it was severely damaged.
"An obelisk will be erected at this place for our fellow countrymen who participated in the Great Patriotic War," the inscription on the object read.
However, Zhidkov told the governor that it was "just a stone." After that, the governor harshly slapped the official on the shoulder and, using profanity, said that he was fired.
"The head of the district considered that it was "just a stone." So, it can lie like garbage. It is possible to correct the lack of competencies, experience, and knowledge. But if you have such an attitude towards our heroes in your heart, that's the edge. Too emotional? Yes. Fired," Fedorishchev wrote on Twitter.
According to the newspaper Kommersant, after his dismissal, Yuri Zhidkov was hospitalized with a hypertensive crisis.
