PTV reported on Pakistan's attack on Afghan positions in Kurram district
The Pakistani armed forces have attacked Afghan positions in the Kurram district in response to attacks on their checkpoints in the region. This was announced on October 14, citing sources, by the PTV News channel on the social network X.
"Another post of the Afghan Taliban and a tank position were destroyed in the Kurram sector," the publication says.
It is clarified that after the strike, representatives of Afghanistan left their positions without taking the bodies of their dead comrades.
TOLO news reported on October 10 that at least five soldiers were killed and two others were injured as a result of the escalation between the two countries. It was clarified that the Afghan forces also captured two military posts in Pakistan.
Later, on October 12, the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced the completion of the operation launched on the evening of October 11 on the border with Pakistan. The Afghan Air Force's airstrike on Pakistan's positions in the city of Lahore became known a day earlier. This act was, as specified, a response to recent Pakistani shelling of Afghan territory.
On the same day, Afghan official Zabiullah Mujahid said that 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 30 others were injured during a clash with the Afghan military. Later, the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced the completion of the operation launched on the evening of October 11 on the border with Pakistan.
