- Bloomberg has learned about the growth of offshore oil supplies from Russia to a two-year high
Crude oil shipments from Russia by sea rose to a two-year high in September 2025. This was reported by Bloomberg on October 14.
"As of October 12, the average shipments from the country's ports for four weeks amounted to 3.74 million barrels per day, which is the highest figure since June 2023," the publication says.
It is noted that Russia is gradually increasing oil production in accordance with the OPEC+ target, and since March, the country's oil production target has increased by more than 500,000 barrels per day.
In September, the gross value of Russian oil exports increased by almost $60 million to an annual maximum of $1.49 billion, Bloomberg writes.
Bloomberg reported on October 6 that the volume of oil transported by tankers across the world's oceans rose to a record high amid increased production by organizations such as OPEC+. According to Vortexa, an energy and shipping analytics company, the total volume of oil in transit rose to 1.2 billion barrels, the highest level since at least 2016.
A day earlier, OPEC+ member countries agreed to increase oil production by 137 thousand barrels per day in November. In addition, the member States of the organization will now jointly review market conditions every month.
