The agreement on Gas signed in Sharm el-Sheikh is a turning point in history. This was stated on October 13 by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at a summit dedicated to resolving the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

"This is a turning point in history. It (the Gas agreement. It opens the door to a new era of peace in the Middle East," he said.

The Egyptian leader also noted that the deal is the only way to establish peace in the region. In addition, al-Sisi expressed the hope that the conflict in the Gaza Strip will be the last in the Middle East.

Earlier in the day, representatives of Egypt, the United States, Qatar and Turkey signed an agreement to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. According to the American leader Donald Trump, this Gas deal is "the largest and most difficult." He also added that the third world war in the Middle East will not start because no one wants it.

Trump announced the end of the conflict in the Gaza Strip and the release of Israeli hostages by the Hamas movement and called October 13 a great and wonderful day. He also added that the main goal of his foreign policy is to end wars, and he has proved this by ending a number of international conflicts since returning to the White House.

On October 9, Israel and Hamas signed an agreement on a cease-fire and the release of hostages after indirect talks in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. According to the agreement, the fighting will cease, Israel will partially withdraw from Gaza, and Hamas will release all remaining hostages in exchange for prisoners held in Israel. The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 at 12:00 Moscow time.
