Stocks of new cars decreased in Russia

The stock of passenger cars in the warehouses of dealers and distributors in Russia decreased by 100,000 units in nine months. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, at the beginning of the year, the stock was estimated at 500 thousand cars, by the beginning of October it had decreased to 400 thousand units. Just over a quarter of them are cars from previous years of production (2024 and earlier), the specialist said.

In just nine months, 896,000 new passenger cars were registered in the Russian Federation. At the same time, Russian enterprises assembled 568 thousand cars, and the volume of new cars imported into the country amounted to 240.5 thousand units, Tselikov estimated.
