The Kurdish militia in northeastern Syria, as part of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), agreed to transfer control of oil production in Damascus, in the fields of the province of Deir ez-Zor, to the Syrian government. This was reported on October 11 by the Syrian channel Syria TV, citing informed sources.

"The agreement on oil in Deir ez-Zor was reached during the meeting of the President of the [Syrian Arab Republic] Ahmed al-Sharaa and SDF commander Mazlum Abdi in Damascus last week," the source said.

It is specified that these agreements were concluded "verbally".

The Sham TV channel, citing a statement by a military representative of the SDF, reported on September 21 that seven civilians were killed and four others injured in the Syrian village of Umm Tinah in the Deir Hafer region east of Aleppo as a result of an attack using drones and artillery. According to the source, the attack was allegedly carried out by "militants of the Damascus government."
