US President Donald Trump on Thursday, October 9, said that the Ukrainian conflict does not directly affect the United States and expressed hope for its early resolution.

"Theoretically, this is (the conflict in Ukraine. — Ed.) does not affect us," he said during a meeting with Finnish leader Alexander Stubb, which took place at the White House.

According to the American president, as the first president in the history of the United States to "resolve eight conflicts in nine months," he will continue to make efforts to resolve this situation.

During the same meeting, Trump said that Washington, together with NATO countries, was increasing pressure to reach an agreement on Ukraine. He stated that he expects to hold Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in the near future, and also expressed confidence in the early conclusion of this deal.
