Hamas handed over the list of prisoners under the Gaza agreement
On October 9, the Palestinian Hamas movement announced that it had handed over the lists of Palestinian prisoners awaiting their release.
"The Hamas movement confirms that it has handed over the lists of Palestinian prisoners in accordance with the standards that were agreed upon as part of the agreement," RIA Novosti quoted the movement as saying.
In addition, Hamas noted that they are currently awaiting approval of the names of all prisoners.
The American leader Donald Trump announced the signing of the first stage of the peace plan for the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict a day earlier, which was confirmed on October 9 by representatives of the Palestinian Hamas movement.
Agence France-Presse (AFP), in turn, reported that the Israeli hostages would be exchanged for about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. This process, as specified in the publication, will take place within 72 hours after the implementation of the agreement.
