- The Federal Air Transport Agency spoke about measures to preserve the fleet in the Russian Federation
Rosaviatsia is taking measures to prevent the development of a pessimistic scenario of the departure of 339 aircraft from the fleet of Russian companies by 2030. This was announced on October 7 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako, commenting on the words of the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Dmitry Yadrov about the possible termination of the operation of aircraft and helicopters of airlines from the Russian Federation.
Earlier in the day, Yadrov said at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic policy that 339 planes and 200 helicopters of Russian airlines could be retired by 2030. According to him, there are vessels among them that are more than 40 years old.
"In order to prevent a pessimistic scenario of 339 aircraft leaving the fleet of Russian operators by 2030, Rosaviation, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Transport, continues to implement a package of measures that should preserve the existing fleet as much as possible," he said in a Telegram message.
Korenyako noted that one of the prevention measures is to extend the resources of aircraft, primarily the AN-24/26 and Yak-40. In addition, it is necessary to increase stocks of the Russian-French SaM146 engine for Superjet 100 vessels.
According to the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, the necessary regulatory framework is also being formed at the moment. In particular, amendments were made to the Air Code, which allow the approval of analog components, which will allow Russian companies to bring new spare parts to the market.
In addition, Korenyako clarified that Russian aviation equipment maintenance and repair centers certified by the Federal Air Transport Agency continue to successfully develop additional skills in working with imported aircraft. He added that over the current year, more than 2,400 forms of periodic maintenance have been performed in such centers.
On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the process of import substitution of engines on Sukhoi Superjet aircraft and Ansat helicopters had been completed. The President noted that the positive dynamics in the industry creates conditions for strengthening the country's industrial and technological sovereignty, developing transport, energy, as well as overall economic growth and achieving Russia's national goals.
