Investigative authorities are checking the former mayor of Krasnoyarsk Vladislav Loginov, accused of taking bribes in the amount of 180 million rubles, for involvement in other corruption-related crimes. This was reported to Izvestia by a law enforcement source.

He clarified that the investigators are identifying other episodes that could have been committed in complicity with unidentified officials.

Alexander Redkin, Loginov's lawyer, told Izvestia that his client's arrest had been extended until December 26.

"We object to the preventive measure. Loginov does not intend to hide. He is ready to assist the investigation within certain limits," the human rights defender explained.

Loginov was detained by law enforcement officers on June 9. He was charged with accepting a bribe and a criminal case was opened under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a bribe on an especially large scale"). His office, home, and MCU "Department of Roads, Infrastructure, and Landscaping" were searched, during which investigators seized documents related to municipal contracts. On September 15, Loginov resigned amid allegations of accepting bribes. Later it became known that seven new suspects appeared in the criminal case involving the former mayor of Krasnoyarsk.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
