KAMAZ has introduced a new tourist bus with kitchen and toilet

For the first time, KAMAZ demonstrated the KamAZ-52229 tourist bus, the model belongs to the new generation A5 and runs on compressed natural gas (CNG). The presentation took place at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, the company's press service reported on October 7.

The new product was developed in cooperation with Gazprom specialists. The cabin has 47 seats, a kitchen unit with a refrigerator, a toilet, video surveillance systems and climate control. Passengers have individual service units, the seats are equipped with seat belt sensors, USB chargers, armrests and folding tables, there is the possibility of sliding into the aisle and adjusting the backrest. The luggage compartment holds at least 3 cubic meters, while hand luggage can also be placed on shelves above the seats.

The driver's seat is equipped with an air suspension, a three-point seat belt, headrest and armrest adjustment, heating, presence sensors and a buttoned belt. There is also a sleeping place for the driver.

The bus is equipped with a KamAZ gas power unit with a capacity of 320 hp and a robotic gearbox. Gas cylinders with a total volume of 1,110 liters are located on the roof of the bus, providing a range of at least 500 km. To increase safety, gas leak sensors are installed in the engine compartment and in the place of the gas cylinders.

Earlier, on September 26, the Pavlovsky Bus Factory started production of the new Citymax 8 model. The bus is 8.1 m long and has a capacity of 32 passengers. Such transport is in demand on routes with low passenger traffic.
