Poland urges not to allow Ukrainian politicians to enter parliament

Ukrainians should not become deputies in the Polish parliament, they should stop being granted citizenship of the republic. This was announced on October 6 by Polish MP Slawomir Mentzen.

"Ukrainians should not be allowed to have their representation in the Polish Sejm. Already, so many Polish politicians are defending Ukrainian interests. We don't need Ukrainian politicians in the Seimas yet," he wrote on Twitter. Twitter).

Mentzen also called for an end to the granting of Polish citizenship to Ukrainians and noted the need to extend the period for obtaining it. According to the MP, Polish interests should be a priority.

On September 16, Polish President Karol Nawrocki signed a law extending special status and assistance for Ukrainian refugees, as well as ending benefits for unemployed foreigners. In addition, social benefits will be paid to working foreigners, including "800 plus" for children.
