President of the Republika Srpska (RS, an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina) Milorad Dodik opposed military supplies for Ukraine. The politician told Izvestia about this on October 5.

The head of the RS said that he had not agreed to the country's joining the military alliance and did not intend to change his position in the future. Dodik also opposed the imposition of sanctions against Russia.

"We did not allow Bosniak Muslims (the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina — Ed.), who have a defense industry, to export weapons and ammunition to Ukraine," he told correspondent Viktor Sineok.

A day earlier, the politician said that Russia would not be intimidated by NATO's plans and attempts at isolation. He added that Ukraine's possible admission to the European Union (EU) contradicts the basic principles of unification, since the EU does not include states with uncertain borders and serious economic and social problems.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Dodik met in Sochi on October 2. The leader of Republika Srpska, in turn, noted that he was glad to have the opportunity to attend the Valdai Forum. He also recalled that earlier, on May 9, he attended the Victory Day Parade, which was "impressive."
