Bloomberg reported on Trump's lobbying for the Nobel Peace Prize
US President Donald Trump's aides have launched a campaign to promote his candidacy for the Nobel Peace Prize. As Bloomberg reported on October 3, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are doing this.
According to the agency, Witkoff raised the issue of the award in conversations with European colleagues, and Rubio was also involved in convincing partners in favor of awarding Trump.
In Norway, such activity has raised concerns about a possible negative reaction from the American leader in the event of a refusal.
Earlier, on September 4, Trump said in an interview with CBS News that he was not seeking the Nobel Peace Prize. He stressed that his main goal is to "save lives."
