On Monday, October 6, another lesson from the series "Conversations about important things" will take place in Russian schools and colleges. It is dedicated to Teacher's Day and is dedicated to the importance of respect as the main principle of human relations. Izvestia tells us how classes will be held in different classes.

The federal speakers will be Tatiana Baburova, Hero of Labor of Russia, teacher of Gymnasium No. 1 in Volokolamsk, and Maria Valyugina, teacher of Russian language and literature, Deputy director of the Moscow International Film School Film College No. 40.

Students in grades 1-4 will talk about what they mean by the word "respect" and how they show it in different life situations. They will discuss with the children why they respect other people and why it is important to be polite and caring to everyone without exception. In addition, the children will be offered to complete a practical task "Palm: 5 facets of respect", during which they will get acquainted with specific examples of respectful attitude towards others. The conclusion of the lesson will be devoted to respect in the family. Students will discuss what their relatives do for them and how they show respect for their loved ones.

Students in grades 5-7 will be taught what respect is based on (recognition of the value of each person, their merits, opinions and needs). Students will be asked to name people they respect. In addition, they will talk about how a personal example can inspire them to choose a profession. Students will also complete a practical task, "How can I show respect," and discuss examples of similar behavior at school and at home. At the end of the lesson, we will look at how respect is related to responsibility and how it helps to build harmonious relationships with others.

Students in grades 8-9 will talk about respect as the basis of social relations. During the lesson, the students will remember the people they respect and discuss what qualities are necessary to earn the respect of others. The main part of the lesson will be devoted to how respect is manifested in various spheres of life, such as culture, family, work and government activities. Students will complete the task "The Pride of Russia", in which they will collect examples of respect for the work of other people and for their country. The lesson will end with a discussion of how respect helps a person to be successful and how important it is to show respect in every life situation.

For high school students, the lesson will begin with a discussion of the concepts of respect and self-esteem. The teacher will explain that respect is not only politeness, but also a deep understanding of the value of another person and their work. Students will also talk about why respect is necessary to form trusting relationships and how it affects success in life. At the end of the lesson, students will work with an interactive task that will help them master the universal principles of respect for the interlocutor.

"Conversations about important things" is a series of extracurricular activities dedicated to the history, culture and geography of Russia, as well as significant topics from the daily life of schoolchildren. It was launched by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation in 2022. Classes are held every Monday at schools and colleges across the country.

The previous lesson on September 29 was devoted to Russia's digital sovereignty and the development of domestic digital technologies. The students talked about why the state needs its own technology platforms and how they affect the country's security.
