Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he has "his own relationship" with American leader Donald Trump. He told about this on October 2 at the plenary session of the Valdai International discussion Club.

Responding to the proposal of the moderator of the discussion, Fyodor Lukyanov, to give Trump a children's kit for creating a paper tiger, Putin noted that presidents know well what gifts they can give each other.

"No, we have our own relationship with him. We know what to give each other there," Putin said.

Putin spoke on October 2 at a meeting of the Valdai discussion club, where he focused on the formation of a multipolar world. In his speech, he raised the issue of Russia's attempts to join NATO, opposition to sanctions, and noted that Western policy contradicts its own interests. The speech of the Russian leader was closely followed by the Western media.

After his speech at the UN General Assembly in New York, Trump wrote on the Truth Social network that Russia was fighting in Ukraine, allegedly resembling a "paper tiger" during the conflict. On September 24, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov replied that Russia was not a tiger, but a bear, and there were no "paper bears."
