The Russian army will be able to improve its methods of countering Barracuda missiles, which the United States can supply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) This was stated to Izvestia on October 2 by the director of the Museum of the Air Defense Forces, retired Colonel Yuri Knutov.

"If these are tangible supplies, hundreds, or maybe several hundred missiles, then, of course, they will complicate the situation at the front to a certain extent. In the future, when the Russian Armed Forces work out ways to combat these cruise missiles, the situation will be restored," the expert said.

Knutov also spoke about the characteristics of the Barracuda missiles. He specified that the range of these weapons reaches 500 km, and the cost of one missile is only $ 200 thousand.

"Barracuda missiles are the latest missiles. They are unique in that they can be launched from different launchers. In addition, they can be launched from air carriers, that is, from airplanes and helicopters. This is a universal rocket," Knutov stressed.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on October 1 that the administration of US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of supplying Kiev with powerful weapons to launch attacks on Russian territory. So, the supply of Tomahawk and Barracuda missiles or others with an attack range of 800 km is not excluded.
