The military commissariats of the Moscow Military District (MVO) plan to conscript more than 30,000 people for military service by December 31, 2025. This was announced on October 1 by the press service of the military district.

"In total, the military commissariats of the Moscow Military District plan to conscript and send more than 30 thousand people to the troops," RIA Novosti reports.

The conscription of citizens began today, October 1, and will last until the end of the year. Sending conscripts to the troops will begin on October 15.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, most of the recruits will be sent to training units, where they will master modern military equipment and receive military accounting specialties. Upon completion of the training, depending on the acquired skills, they will be sent for further military service.

On September 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the autumn draft — 2025, which starts on October 1. It is expected that it will become the largest recruitment campaign in the last nine years: this year it is planned to send 135 thousand people to serve, before that more were recruited only in 2016 — 152 thousand people.
