On September 30, at the opening Ceremony of the Fabric of Destiny exhibition, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova answered a question from Izvestia regarding a statement by US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg.

"We understand that he [Kellogg] is a subordinate of the President of the United States of America, who spoke out in favor of a peaceful settlement of the situation around Ukraine, made it part of his election program, and told his constituents about it, who believed him and had high hopes that he would succeed."
