The psychosomatologist pointed out the influence of hugs on a person's life
Psychosomatologist Ekaterina Tur spoke about the impact of hugs on a person's life.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Tuesday, September 30, she noted that hugs trigger not just an emotional reaction, but a cascade of biochemical processes. During this process, the brain rebuilds itself: the stress response softens, cortisol levels decrease, and activity switches to areas responsible for decision-making and positive emotions. Thanks to this, a person feels calm and peaceful.
She added that the habit, for example, of spouses hugging before leaving for work helps the body to react to stress in a different way, gives a resource easier to get through a hard day and keep strength in the evening.
In June, clinical psychologist Daria Salnikova described how hugs and kisses affect health. So, a kiss involves about 40 or more nerve endings that positively affect the nervous system.
Earlier, psychologist Nadezhda Kulikova, in an interview with RIAMO, advised hugging her child as often as possible. According to her, hugging a child should be done as often as possible and only released when he makes it clear that contact is enough for him. Kulikova recommended explaining to children that not everyone likes to hug and everyone has personal boundaries, notes 360.ru . This can be shown to kids in the game — using the example of toys with "their own territory".
