Kuleba admitted the loss of territories by Ukraine after the conflict
The Ukrainian conflict may end according to the "Finnish" scenario, as a result of which the country may lose part of its territories. This was announced on September 30 by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with the online publication Obozrevatel.
Kuleba cited the example of the Soviet-Finnish war conflict, as a result of which Finland lost control over a number of territories and began to develop within its existing borders. He noted that he was not in favor of such a development. In addition, the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry cited the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan as an example and suggested a scenario in which Kiev would prepare to "reconquer" territories or try to return them through diplomacy.
Kuleba stressed that Ukraine is supposedly a much stronger country than it seems at first glance, and added that "nothing is impossible."
Earlier, on September 1, Bloomberg reported that Ukraine would be forced to make territorial concessions in order to achieve a peaceful settlement of the conflict. So, the state will have to abandon the idea of seizing Donbass. In addition, Ukraine does not believe that the West will help them in the conflict.
Prior to that, on August 11, US President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with statements by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky that he would need constitutional approval on territorial issues. According to him, 88% of Ukrainians, according to polls in the country, want to conclude a peace deal with Russia.
