- The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Kiev was preparing operations under a false flag.
The Ukrainian authorities are preparing operations under a false flag and "defectors" who are ready to accuse Russia of alleged crimes. This was stated on September 30 by the Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik.
"All terrorist methods that Kiev has mastered quite well can be used, starting from operations under a false flag, terrorist acts, and the appearance of alleged "defectors" who are ready to "confess to Russia's crimes," TASS quoted him as saying.
Miroshnik added that Kiev may also resort to using military-technical means to create threats and pressure on the European Union (EU). According to the diplomat, the goal of the Ukrainian leadership is not only to involve Europe in a direct conflict with Russia, but also to receive financial assistance to continue military operations and maintain the country's budget.
"Now Kiev needs to solve a key task — it is to receive money to support the Ukrainian budget and to continue military operations. The sums are quite impressive even for a large European budget," Miroshnik concluded.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) announced that Ukraine was preparing a new high-profile provocation. According to the agency, Kiev picked up members of the "Freedom of Russia Legion" fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) (recognized as a terrorist organization, activity is prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation) and the Belarusian "regiment named after him. Kalinovsky". The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR), together with the Polish special services, is involved in the preparation of the operation, the SVR claims.
