If Russia decides to support Palestine more actively, this could lead to increased US influence and the fulfillment of the threat of the head of the White House, Donald Trump, to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. Yegor Dibrov, a political scientist and specialist in political and economic conflicts, told Izvestia on September 30.

"If Russia decides to actively support Palestine, then the United States will strengthen its influence and fulfill Trump's threat to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles. If Russia takes a neutral position on this issue or supports Israel, then the United States will be ready to meet with Russia on the issue of resolving the Ukrainian crisis. But this is how Britain and France will try to create a rift in relations between Russia and the Arab world," the expert said.

Speaking about the interrelationship of conflicts, the expert noted that globalization, even in the face of setbacks, creates a strong interdependence between processes, especially in the context of conflicts in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

"If we assume that the United States and Britain stop financing Ukraine, Israel and other resources will run out and the conflicts will cease, turning into smoldering conflicts. The relationship between the two conflicts is much greater than one can imagine. This became especially noticeable after the arrival of Donald Trump, when American weapons and air defense systems for Ukraine were redirected to Israel," Dibrov stressed.

In addition, the expert of the Polylogue Group, political scientist Evgeny Zlenko, added that the words of Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff are part of the US strategy on Palestine, which they do not recognize as a state. In this regard, the peace plan of the head of the White House raises doubts about its implementation.

"Moreover, another escalation should be expected in the Middle East, including the situation between Israel and Iran. In this regard, events in the Middle East region are unlikely to have any fruitful impact on the course of the conflict in Ukraine," the expert concluded.

On September 29, Witkoff said that the implementation of Trump's plan for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Gaza could contribute to resolving the situation in the Middle East and even in Ukraine. However, he did not add any details.

On the same day, the White House presented a plan to resolve the situation in Gaza. The 20-point document provides for the withdrawal of Israeli troops and the cessation of hostilities in exchange for the release of hostages. 72 hours are allowed for the implementation of these conditions after the approval of the agreement. A number of Arab and Islamic States, including Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, expressed their support for the peace plan in a joint statement.
