Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the beginning of the autumn draft — 2025 from October 1. The text of the document was published on September 29 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"From October 1 to December 31, 2025, conscription of citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 30 who are not in reserve and are subject to conscription in accordance with Federal Law No. 53-FZ of March 28, 1998 "On Military Duty and Military Service", in the number of 135 thousand people," the text of the document says.

In 2025, the autumn draft will traditionally begin on October 1 and last until December 31.

On September 22, Vice Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, Head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff, spoke about the results of the spring draft. According to him, more than 125,000 conscripts were transported in total.
