Pavlovsky Bus Plant has started production of the new Citymax 8 model
The Pavlovsky Bus Factory has started production of the new Citymax 8 model. The bus is 8.1 m long and has a capacity of 32 passengers. Such transport is in demand on routes with low passenger traffic, it provides increased comfort for passengers and cost-effectiveness in operation for carriers, the Modern Transport Technologies company said in a statement, which was received by Izvestia on September 26.
There are 21 seats in the cabin, all of which are located in the direction of travel. Additionally, there are three more soft folding seats in the cabin. The entrance to the bus is through a wide double—leaf door without steps. A child's or wheelchair can be installed on a low-floor platform in the center of the salon.
For smooth running, the Citymax 8 is equipped with an air suspension at the rear. Composite materials are widely used in the body. The bus is powered by a 150 hp G 2.5 diesel engine (Euro-5) paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The braking system is pneumatic, with disc-type operating mechanisms on all wheels. The model is equipped with anti-lock and anti-slip systems.
Technological processes were upgraded at the enterprise to launch production of the new model. Investments in the renewal of production amounted to 670 million rubles, the company noted.
Earlier, on September 19, it was reported that Russia had developed a new modification of the Valdai 12 truck. The special equipment is built on a chassis with an extra-long wheelbase and has a Euro platform that allows loading 20 standard Euro pallets.
